Pentecost commemorates the descent of the Holy Spirit upon the followers of Jesus Christ. On the first Pentecost after the resurrection of Jesus, the believers received the Holy Spirit and started to witness for Jesus Christ everywhere.
We will take this time to understand the ascension of Jesus Christ and the gift of the Holy Spirit to the Church. Let’s expect the greater works of the Holy Spirit.
“Do not leave Jerusalem, but wait for the gift my Father promised, which you have heard me speak about. For John baptized with water, but in a few days you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit.” Acts 1:4-5
